What can I do to help?

Those of you who know the Allen family are asking, "What can I do to help?" Those of you who don't know them are asking, "What is going on?"

The Allen family's five year old daughter Rachel drown in a pool on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009. She was on life support for several days and returned to Heavenly Father in the early morning hours of Tues. Aug, 25.

In a loving final tribute to their daughter the Allen's chose to donate Rachel's organs which will help several other families.

Now you can help the Allens. With a tragedy such as this, unfortunately there comes many ongoing and unforseen expenses and your donations can help to off set those.

One of the easiest ways to donate is by holding an online auction on your blog for products and or services which you can provide and for which others can bid.

If you want to host an auction or donate an item you can post the information on your own blog, facebook or email me and we can also post it here. Please list a suggested value to give people an idea of what your services normally go for.

AUCTION RULES AND INFORMATION:
If you wish to bid on an item, place your bid by leaving your name, email and bid amount in the comments section of the item up for auction (preferably on the blog that is hosting the auction as opposed to here...this site is mainly for advertising the auctions). Be generous in your bidding. Remember it is for a good cause and the person donating is being generous for offering it.

If you win the auction please pay your high bid amount directly to the *Auctions for Rachel* paypal account by clicking on the link on the sidebar. You should recieve an email confirming your payment. This email will need to be forwarded to the seller to verify that the bid payment has been made. Thank you!

Southern Living and "Random" Item

The following items are also listed with pictures on: http://fritzfive.blogspot.com (Karolee Fritz). Pictures will be added here asap. Please direct all bids and questions to this location. Thanks!

1. Southern Living Francescan Basket. Can be used indoors or outdoors and is new in the box. I put this 8X10 photo inside to give you an idea of the size. Starting bid is $8.

2. Southern Living sconce. This item does not have a box, but has not been used. It has mounting hooks on the back and would make a great planter box. It is a fiberglass/resin material and is pretty substantial. Starting bid is $12.

3. Set of 2 Sassy Wall Sconces. These are also new in the box and are great alone or as a pair. Starting bid is $10.

4. Set of 3 black and white prints by photographer Melissa Springer. They are all 8x10 and would look great with any decor. These are also new in a black folder, tied with a black bow. They would make a great wedding/shower gift. I have 2 sets of these to sell for the highest bidders. Starting bid $5.

5. SL Harrison Plate Holder. This is new in the box and pretty self explanatory. Starting bid is $8.

6. Now for some randomness. Victoria Secrets satin robe. New with tags, one size fits all and a really pretty mauve color. Starting bid $10.

If you need specific measurements for any of these items, or have any questions, just comment and it will be provided.
